Order & Purchase Information
Incorrect personal information can lead to the cancellation of your order. If an order needs to be verified a member of the Customer Care team will do everything possible to obtain the correct information, but if we are unable to contact you via e-mail or phone the order will not be processed.
Please Note: Personal information is confidential and only used by Reef Gear. Reef Gear does not use any of your personal information for third party soliciting. You will not be called or e-mailed unless the order you placed needs verification.
Clearance Sale Terms
Occasionally Reef Gear has great quality products at unbeatable deals. These products may be last years styles, discontinued colors or we just goofed and ordered too many. Either way, we get to pass on the savings to our Reef Gear family. At these prices you can buy two and give the one that doesn't fit give it to your neighbor. Please keep in mind that all Clearance Sale Items are subject to a 20% restocking fee if returned.
All the items that you have put in your shopping cart appear in your order during Checkout. If you do not want to order all the items, simply edit your shopping cart before clicking "Submit". When you click "Submit Order" we verify your credit card. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is shipped. Your order will not be placed and your credit card will not be charged if you do not click "Submit Order".
Canceling an Order
If you would like to cancel or change an order that you've just placed, please call (972) 353-3700 as soon as possible. We'll do everything we can to accommodate your request, however; items that have already shipped cannot be canceled and must be returned or exchanged. However, you may refuse the merchandise upon delivery. A refund will be issued once the merchandise is returned to our warehouse. If you have received the merchandise, you can simply return it by mail or to our local Reef Gear store.
Please note: if you cancel an item that qualified you for a promotion, you may no longer receive that discount or promotion.
To protect our Reef Gear customers we have set up layers of protection that are to prevent Credit Card fraud. We have retained Paypal & Cybersource®, the leading online credit card processors, for your protection. (Please remember that if you have a lost or stolen credit card call the issuer immediately.)
You may pay for your orders with a major credit cards issued in the United States of America or Canada. Currently, we accept:
If during checkout we are unable to process your credit card, please confirm that the billing name and address match your credit card statement exactly and check to ensure that your credit card number, expiration date and Card Verification Number (CVN) is correct.
The Card Verification Number (CVN) is a three- or four-digit number printed on your credit cards. It helps to prove that you have physical possession of the card, and that the card is valid.

Generally, credit and debit card are not charged until we either ship the item(s) to you or confirm store availability (at which time you will be charged only for the goods we have actually shipped along with any appropriate taxes or shipping charges). However, we may preauthorize your order amount with your credit or debit card issuer at the time you place the order, which may have an effect on your available credit line. Please contact your credit card issuer for more information.
If you ordered a special delivery item, you will be charged once a delivery time is confirmed.
Sales Tax Policy
Because Reef Gear does business in Texas and collects and remits sales tax as required by law, the Reef Gear Web site also collects and remits sales tax as appropriate.
Tax is also applied to the shipping charges associated to the taxable items in your order. If you return an item for a refund, you will also receive a refund for the taxes you paid for that item. You will not receive a refund for the taxes you paid on the shipping of that item, as the shipping charges are nonrefundable once an item has indeed been shipped.
If you have tax-exempt status, please visit our Reef Gear store or contact the sales department. You will be required to provide your state tax-exempt certification prior to purchase. Please note: Reef Gear reserves the right not to sell to resellers.
Tax exempt purchases
If you are making a purchase for a tax-exempt organization, or are an individual that qualifies for a tax exemption, please contact our Customer Service team at (972) 353-3700.
To ensure compliance with state and local laws, all requested forms and information must be received and verified by our Customer Service team before a purchase can be placed without tax.
Validating Your Order
After you place an order using our shopping cart, we will check the information you give us for validity, by verifying your method of payment, billing and shipping address. We reserve the right to reject any order you place with us, and/or to limit quantities on any order, without giving any reason. If we reject your order, we will attempt to notify you using the e-mail address you have given us with the order.
Your credit or debit card will normally not be charged if we reject an order, but we will process a refund if the charge has been made against your card.
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. The Reef Gear Web site reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason.

Using Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates, unlike credit or debit cards, are debited at the time an order is placed. Gift Certificates will automatically be redeemed to purchase totals, up to the total purchase amount. In the event the total purchase amount exceeds the value of the Gift Certificates, you will be required to use another Gift Certificates or a credit or debit card to pay the difference. Any amount charged to a credit or debit card will be treated as set forth above. In the event of a partial return of an order using both a Gift Certificates and a credit or debit card, returned amounts shall first be credited to the credit or debit card, and any remaining balance will be credited back to the Gift Certificates.
