What is a Rash Guard, Sun Shirt or Swim Shirt?

Rashguard History:

Rash guards were originally designed by surfers to protect there body's from getting rashes while they paddle on their surfboards, now they are used by water sports enthusiasts everywhere for protection from the sun and wind.

Rash guards are now used as sun protective clothing, called a "sun shirt". There are snug fitted sun shirts and loose fitting sun shirts that fit like t-shirts for everyday wear. We at Reef Gear are huge proponents of sun protection. Use a rash guard & Sunscreen whenever in the sun. Rashguards make it easy as they do not wash or wear off by sweat or water and provide upto 50% UV protection and block up-to 98% of the suns harmful rays. How does a RashGuard Fit:

There are two types of Rash Guards on the market. Loose fit or snug fit depending on your sports activities in the sun.

"Loose fit" - is like a t-shirt. Used mostly for general outdoor wear.

"Snug fit" - like a second skin. Used for active sports like surfing, water skiing, bike riding, running & all your active sports outings that need sun protection. When you take it off just peel it like a banana. Start by pulling the lower body off first and end with the sleeves.
